The Impact is a standalone dot peen marking station designed for industrial identification. Combines electromagnetic and pneumatic technologies to deliver reliable, permanent, tamper-proof markings that support traceability throughout a part's lifecycle.
The Gravotech Impact Series uses Electromagnetic & Pneumatic technology to create permanent, tamper-proof marks directly on metal and plastic components. Unlike labels or ink markings that can fade, peel, or be removed, dot peen and scribing marks are physically deformed into the material surface — creating identification that lasts the entire lifetime of the part, even in the harshest industrial environments including extreme heat, chemical exposure, outdoor weathering, and heavy mechanical abrasion.
With a 100 x 120 mm marking window, the Impact Series produces text, serial numbers, logos, DataMatrix codes, QR codes, and 1D barcodes that meet international traceability standards. The system is designed for direct part marking (DPM) applications where every component must carry permanent identification throughout its lifecycle — from raw material through manufacturing, assembly, service, and eventual decommissioning. How deep can the marks go?
Marking depth depends on the material hardness and machine configuration. On mild steel, depths of 0.1-0.5 mm are typical. On softer materials like aluminum, deeper marks are possible. We can run depth tests on your specific materials.
