OVERVIEW

The VIN scribing marking machine. An integrable scribing system providing permanent, deep marking capabilities on metal and plastic components. Specialized for Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) applications.

The Gravotech SV530 uses Scribing technology to create permanent, tamper-proof marks directly on metal and plastic components. Unlike labels or ink markings that can fade, peel, or be removed, dot peen and scribing marks are physically deformed into the material surface — creating identification that lasts the entire lifetime of the part, even in the harshest industrial environments including extreme heat, chemical exposure, outdoor weathering, and heavy mechanical abrasion.

With a 120 x 40 mm marking window, the SV530 produces text, serial numbers, logos, DataMatrix codes, QR codes, and 1D barcodes that meet international traceability standards. The system is designed for direct part marking (DPM) applications where every component must carry permanent identification throughout its lifecycle — from raw material through manufacturing, assembly, service, and eventual decommissioning. Industries including oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, and heavy manufacturing rely on this level of traceability to meet regulatory requirements and maintain quality control.

SOFRAY EMS supplies the SV530 with complete integration support for production lines across the GCC region. Our engineers handle everything from initial marking feasibility studies and sample testing through installation, commissioning, and operator training — ensuring your marking system delivers compliant, readable marks from day one.

KEY FEATURES

Scribing Marking Technology

Scribing marking creates permanent, tamper-proof identification directly in the material surface.

Direct Part Marking

Marks survive extreme conditions: heat, chemicals, abrasion, and weathering. Identification lasts the full lifecycle of the component.

Multi-Code Support

Mark text, serial numbers, logos, DataMatrix (ECC200), QR codes, and 1D barcodes in any combination per marking cycle.

120 x 40 mm Marking Window

Accommodates a wide range of marking layouts within the 120 x 40 mm marking area.

Production Line Ready

Designed for integration into automated production lines with PLC communication and automatic part detection.

Low Operating Cost

Only the marking stylus requires periodic replacement. No lasers, gases, inks, or labels — minimal ongoing costs.

MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY

Carbon Steel

Deep, permanent marks on structural steel, piping, and forged components for oil & gas and construction.

Stainless Steel

Clear identification marks on medical instruments, food processing equipment, and chemical plant components.

Aluminum & Alloys

Marking on cast, extruded, and machined aluminum components for aerospace and automotive applications.

Hardened Metals

Marks on heat-treated and case-hardened components up to 62 HRC without affecting material properties.

Engineering Plastics

Dot peen marking on rigid plastics including nylon, ABS, polycarbonate, and glass-filled compounds.

APPLICATIONS

Industrial Traceability

Mark serial numbers, DataMatrix codes, and production data on components for full lifecycle traceability in manufacturing and assembly.

Oil & Gas Identification

Deep, permanent marking on pipes, flanges, valves, and heavy equipment that withstands extreme heat, pressure, and chemical exposure.
